2018 TREC GB National Championships
The TREC GB National Championships are to be held at Treborough Hill on the edge of Exmoor on the 14th, 15th and 16th of September 2018. Further details will follow.
Level 1, 2, 2A, 3 and 4 classes at affiliated TREC GB competitions run by TREC GB member clubs will be qualifying classes, unless the organiser has opted out of qualifier status (in which case it will be clearly stated in the schedule). Only open unrestricted classes will qualify for championships and league points.
For Level 2, 2A, 3, 4 qualifying competitions will run from 15th August 2017 to 24th August 2018 inclusive. Entries close 24th August, however, late entries from Bucklebury (Wessex) on 25th August will be accepted if they are received by the Tuesday following the event.
The qualification criteria for both TREC GB Championships 2018 of Great Britain are as follows:
For classes with up to 10 individuals/pairs, competitors placed 1st to 3rd will qualify. For classes with 11 or more individuals/pairs, competitors placed 1st to 4th will qualify.
Qualification will roll down if the persons placed 1st to 3rd (or 1st to 4th) have already qualified. Roll down will only go to 6th place if 10 or less starters, and 8th place if 11 or more starters.
If the 2018 Championships Committee find, at close of entries for the 2018 events, that the Championships are over subscribed the following process to limit entries will be used:
If there are not enough entries received for any Championship Classes, additional places may be offered to people placed 4th in classes of 4 to 10 starters or 5th in classes of 11 or more starters.
The 2018 Championships will carry the same qualifier criteria as all other competitions, for the following year's (2019) Championships.
The rules for 2018 will not affect competitors already qualified for the 2018 Championships from last year, see dates above. You will receive your qualification cards from Admin to confirm your qualification.
Level 2, 2A, 3 & 4: In order to be eligible for qualification, riders must be Red tier or Blue tier members of TREC GB before the competition at which they achieve a placing as detailed above. In the case of a pair, both riders must be TREC GB members before the competition.
